Kartenstile auswählen

JOSM bringt eine Vorauswahl von Stilen mit sich, welche im Kartenstildialog (en) an- und abgeschaltet werden können. Es gibt Basis-Stile (JOSM Standard und Potlatch 2) die beide einen großen Bereich von Merkmalen abdecken. Diese können kombiniert werden mit Zusatzstilen welche speziellere Themenbereiche abdecken.

Um mehr Stile hinzuzufügen, ist es nötig die Kartenstileinstellungen durch Klicken des source:trunk/images/dialogs/mappaintpreference.pngEinstellungen (en) Schaltfläche im Kartenstildialog.

(Alternativ kann man auch direkt zu den Kartenstileinstellungen navigieren: Bearbeiten -> Einstellungen -> source:trunk/images/preferences/map.png Karteneinstellungen (dritte Schaltfläche von oben) -> Kartenstile (zweiter Reiter)

Beispiel Angenommen man ist an Seekarten interessiert, dann würde man wahrscheinlich Gebrauch von dem Stil "FreieTonne" machen: Einfach diesen Eintrag in der "Verfügbare Stile"-Liste durch anklicken auswählen und auf die source:trunk/images/preferences/activate-right.png "blaue rechte Pfeil"-Schaltfläche in der Mitte klicken. Jetzt sollte es einer der "aktiven Stile" sein. Nun laß uns mit fortgeschrittener Stilbenutzung weiter machen. Hat man einen eigenen Stil(siehe unten) erstellt, braucht man nur rechts auf die source:trunk/images/dialogs/add.png Pluszeichen-Schaltfläche klicken und entweder Pfad und Dateiname oder URL des eigenen Stiles eingeben.

Einen eigenen Stil erstellen

Der Standardstil gefällt nicht? Passen Sie ihn Ihren Vorstellungen an:

  • Im Kartenstildialog (en) einen Rechtsklicken auf einen der Stile und source:trunk/images/copy.png "Speichern unter ..." auswählen. Eine Kopie wird der Kartenstiliste hinzugefügt. Die Datei kann im Texteditor geöffnet und nach Veränderungen neu geladen werden.
  • Oder man kann einen neuen Stil von Grund auf neu gestalten und ihn in den Kartenstileinstellungen hinzufügen.

Von JOSM werden zwei Formate um Stile zu definieren unterstützt:

JOSM XML
Das traditionelle Stilformat innerhalb von JOSM. Der Standard-Stil enthält ein bisschen Dokumentation.
MapCSS
Stilsprache ähnlich zu ​CSS ursprünglich für Potlatch 2 entwickelt, aber mit dem Anspruch ein Standard für Kartenstile zu werden (seit r3902)

Stildateien mit unterschiedlichem Format sind kompatibel, sie können zur gleichen Zeit geladen werden.

Den eigenen Stil für andere Benutzer zu Verfügung stellen

In beiden Fällen wird der neue Stil nach wenigen Minuten automatisch in der oberen Tabelle aufgeführt werden. Dann wird er auch in den Kartenstileinstellungen verfügbar sein (nach dem Klicken auf die "neu laden"-Schaltfläche).

Symboleinbindung

Es gibt verschiedene Wege Symbole zu nutzen:

  • Symbole, welche mit JOSM vertrieben werden können direkt mit dem Pfad angegeben werden (relativ zu JOSMs internem Bildverzeichnis).
  • Verwenden Sie einen Pfad relativ zu Ihre lokalen Stildatei.
  • Neue Symbole können direkt mittels eines HTTP-Links referenziert werden. Diese werden dann heruntergeladen und intern zwischengespeichert.
  • Seit JOSM-Version 2289 werden Zip-Dateien unterstützt.
    • Die Zip-Datei muss mindestens eine Datei mit der Endung xml enthalten.
    • Symbolnamen und -pfade sind relativ zum Hauptverzeichnis der Zip-Datei.
    • Falls mehrere XML-Dateien existieren, wird eine Datei mit "style" im Namen bevorzugt (dies erlaubt das Vereinen von Stilen und Objektvorlagen in einem Archiv).
  • When the JOSM wiki is used for designing of new styles you have some additional options:
    • Each file attached to the wiki page is automatically included in the Zip downloaded by JOSM.
    • If you don't want a file in the Zip file, add the text (NOZIP) in the description of the attachment.
    • If you add a Zip file and want its contents included, you may add (EXTRACT) in the description of the attachment.
    • The server automatically switches from download of single file to Zip download when files are attached.

Rendering

Mappaint renders the map data so it looks much more like a map (colors, icons, annotations, ...) - compared to the JOSM wireframe mode.

Nodes

Most nodes that corresponds to tags in the ​Map Features page will show an appropriate icon, e.g. a "P" on blue ground for amenity=parking.

There are some special icons for missing/incomplete things:

no icon missing icon We don't have the right icon for every node tag in map features yet, e.g. icons for most natural=xy tags are still missing. If you encounter such a "missing icon", feel free to create a nice 16*16 pixel icon that matches the tag and send it to the talk list.

deprecated icon warning icon The corresponding tag was once used but is no longer recommended to be used - or - it is not suitable for a node, e.g. highway=motorway just doesn't make sense on a node. Probably not all deprecated tags will show this icon.

Ways

Most ways that correspond to tags in the map features page will get special color, thickness and line style (e.g. dashed lines for railways).

Areas

Areas are ways that form a sort of ring. Most areas that corresponds to tags in the map features page will be filled with a special color (the filling will be transparent to some degree).

Direction arrows

Direction arrows in this mode are only drawn for selected items, this gives you a a significant speedup while moving the map.

Preferences

In the preferences editor you handle new style files as well as paths to the icons. Note that styles can be either additional or individual. If a style itself has a new internal name, then switching the "standard" default to this name creates a new display. Styles with equal names are additional. If you want to change the name of a style, you need to add the new name in front of the path using a "=" as separation. The same can be used for icon paths.

You also can use the following hidden preferences:

  • mappaint.fillalpha
    • alpha "opacity level", that is used to fill areas. An integer value between 0 (transparent) and 255 (solid) with the default of 50.
  • mappaint.fillareas (show areas)
    • 10000000 (default) - areas will be filled with their corresponding colour and name will be rendered
    • 0 - areas will be surrounded by lines only and name will not be rendered
    • any other number - areas will be filled with their corresponding colour and name will be rendered at any zoom level below the given number in meters
  • mappaint.showicons
    • select whether icons are shown - same values as mappaint.fillareas
  • mappaint.shownames
    • select whether names are shown - same values as mappaint.fillareas
  • mappaint.strokes
    • select whether strokes or full lines are used - same values as mappaint.fillareas
  • mappaint.useRealWidth
    • true - ways will change width corresponding to the real width in meters set in the elemstyle.xml file
    • false (default) - ways will have the same width on every zoom level
  • mappaint.zoomLevelDisplay
    • true - elements visibility depends on zoom level
    • false (default) - all elements are displayed
  • mappaint.fontsize
    • 8 - size of mappaint texts
