Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. I select an area for download, but the download fails. In my case this happens if my VPN Connection to OSM needs to be reset.
  2. When this happens, there is no option to repeat the request after restarting the VPN in the background as JOSM does not remember what I wanted to download.
  3. I have to select the area again, which is annoying.

What is the expected result?

I would hope it would simply be possible to repeat the same request after VPN is restarted

What happens instead?

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

This is not a 'Bug', but more an improvement request. It has nothing to do with any specific JOSM build and has always been there.

same is true if the download is interrupted (server, connection, canceled by the user) and if the server does not answer or denies the download because of soft and hard limits.

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as new The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set. Next status will be 'closed'.
to The owner will be changed from team to the specified user.
Next status will be 'needinfo'. The owner will be changed from team to anonymous.
as duplicate The resolution will be set to duplicate. Next status will be 'closed'. The specified ticket will be cross-referenced with this ticket.
The owner will be changed from team to anonymous. Next status will be 'assigned'.
