Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open the JOSM app on windows, click on update
- Download 19555 through Firefox
- Find the update in downloads in Windows Explorer and open it.
What is the expected result?
It should install the update.
What happens instead?
An error message says "Unable to launch the application."
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Your description is strange. When you try to download JOSM for an update why would it try to load josm.jnlp.
Please explain exactly how you installed JOSM before and where you click what?



I assume you did not download one of the Windows Installer packages. If you just downloaded josm-tested.jar you can copy that to the JOSM\app directory and change HWConsole.cfg or JOSM.cfg to point to the downloaded file.
Or download the real installer package (*.exe or *.msi)
