You can change the projection method between Mercator, and EPSG:4326.

If you wish to use [wiki:AnnotationPresets annotaion presets], then you should enter on this page the source for the preset file. The source can be an

 - local file path (C:\Foo\Bar.xml)
 - URL (http://svn.openstreetmap.org/utils/josm/annotation_presets/presets.pre) or
 - resource path (e.g. resource://data/annotations.xml), in which case the file has to be included in an plugin loaded at JOSM startup.
