It would be nice if the object ID(s) were made available directly from the right-click menu of the selection dialog as ""Copy object ID"", copying the ID(s) to the system's clipboard.

This functionality may not be useful to everyone, so to avoid cluttering of JOSM's menus it might be sensible to add an option in JOSM's configuration to remove this menu entry. On the other hand, the selection dialog's context menu so far contains just five entries plus two separator lines. Decide for yourself.
