this is indeed a long awaited feature.

May I suggest an enhancement for the UI (make settings easier and quicker accessible):

The angle-symbol (see screenshot) in the bottom could become a button. The fixed angle mode would restrict movement only to the preselected angle (or multiples of them <360° ) when the button is ""on"" (it is a toggle).  With mouse-right-click on it you could set the angles to switch (free-form or selection from a list, don't know, maybe also allow several angles like 30 _and_ 45 (which would exclude 15) or 15 (which is also 30 and 45 as they are multiples).

Clicking the button should not change the drawing mode or selection (the active way should remain active, you can change the angle-mode while drawing).
