we need a better relations editor (or possibly the validator plugin).

I was just editing a bus route relation and extended an existing route. Unfortunately I added a way to the route that was already a member of this route. Doing so the upload to OSM fails with a 500 error code. It is quite hard to find the cause of this, as it is difficult to find the duplicate member in a huge route relation.
