5556	geometry mode is not working as expected	dieterdreist	team	"Someone changed the behaviour of the geometry mode. Now it creates far less nodes by ""intelligently"" removing intermediate nodes. This has some undesired side effects: 1. I often left nodes as part of straight segments for later optimisations (e.g. if two building-parts are modelled as one outline, still the intermediate node would be helpful at the point the 2 meet, if you later wanted to split it into 2 parts).

2. I doesn't allow for modifications if 2 buildings are attached and you want to ""extrude"" one of it (the adjacent on gets distorted). This wasn't like this before

3. it doesn't allow for complex iterative modelling: before you could enter intermediate nodes (symmetrical) by extruding the same side two and more times. The resulting segments could then be further refined (e.g. extrude them orthogonally to the inside or outside). This does not work any more, because the nodes get automatically deleted by JOSM.

4. The new way it works is not really a needed functionality because you could also before simply use CTRL+drag to move a side."	defect	closed	major Core	latest	wontfix	geometry mode
