24937	Vector tile styling: Restrict style to specific layers	rob.j.nickerson@…	team	"Hi. I have a vector tile layer:
{{{
mvt[14]:https://staging-tiles.osmuk.org/nsul-pcpolygons/ppoints_test5.json
}}}
It contains two layers: points and lines. In my style .json ([https://staging-tiles.osmuk.org/nsul-pcpolygons/ppoints_test5.json link]) I have set up style rules for the points and the lines.

Layer is limited to Middlesbrough, United Kingdom as this is a test layer.

I have two issues:

1. My style rules for points are applied not only to the point layer but also to all nodes in the lines layer. I would like it not to apply to the nodes on the lines. (an observation: if you load a tile in JOSM and then right click it in layer menu and ""convert to OSM Data"" you will see the layer names on the points (polygon centroids) and the lines. The nodes on the lines have no attributes. Not sure if this is relevant).

2. My style rule to apply a text label to the points does not work. This is confusing me as it works for my other vector layer (mvt:https://staging-tiles.osmuk.org/nsul-postcodes/nsul-postcode-points-style.json). (an observation: again if you convert the layer to OSM data you see all features have attribute ID=0, not sure why as the data in that second MVT layer all has unique ID values. Not sure if this is relevant to why the label is not working)

I have listed this ticket as ""enhancement"" as it may be that the styling rules for vector tile layers need an update. It could also just be user error - please let me know if this is the case.

Many thanks :-) Rob"	enhancement	new	normal Core mvt, vector
