It seems like setting the `leisure=picnic_table` tag (a alternative way to tag outdoor chess tables, but less ideal as these tables cannot be used as a picnic table. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Tag:sport%3Dchess#A_chess_board_is_not_a_picnic_table) does seem to be correct according to the validator rule.
