2. select two nodes where road should be split, that are also nodes of a bridge (see attachment)
3. select split action

Road is selected for splitting (the other candidate - `man_made=bridge` is unlikely to be a target of splitting).

In case of explicit selection of both points and a way such guessing would be overriden. 

==== What happens instead?
JOSM demands me to explicitly select a way for splitting.

==== Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
Similar thing is often happening with `tunnel=building_passage` splitting. If this feature would be considered as potentially viable I can add more examples and usecases.
