3. Select another way
4. press esc  to unselect all
5. press Ctrl+Shift+Z (UndoSelection) once
6. press Ctrl+Shift+Z (UndoSelection) again

step 5 should select the way from step 3
step 6 should select the way from step 2

step 5 works as expected 
step 6 has no effect

Without step 4 the first Ctrl+Shift+Z should select the first way.
