However, I recently tried java 10 (Suse java-10-openjdk-10.0.1.0) with results I'll try to describe. 3. The download page states version 8+, and I expect openSuse Leap to be moving to v.11 at some point. ==== What is the expected result? Is JOSM ready for future java versions? That's merely a query at this point. I can't say if it is Java in general, or openSuse packages. ==== What happens instead? Much CPU usage, freezing of JOSM on scrolling or use of liveGPS. It usually seemed to catch up if I let it lie for a few minutes, but I did kill it on occasion, losing preferences in the process, and it was generally close to unusable. Bing and Openstreetmap imagery would mostly fail to download, including for the download dialog. ==== Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I note the ""Failure getting from disk"" errors below, which applies to the java v.8. I don't see any disk caching of imagery, but that may be a separate bug of long standing. Should I report?
