1610	allow to actually cancel actions	richlv	framm	"most actions that involve connecting to some server allow cancelling. unfortunately, there seems to be no hard abort or even a timeout for some.
for example, i attempted to download landsat imaginery using a slow/flaky internet connection. after this had stalled for some time, i pressed 'cancel'.
the popup changed text to ""aborting"", ad has been staying like that for some 15 minutes.
given that i have quite a lot of changes not yet uploaded, that makes me sad...
