To verify it, I reset my preferences file (preferences > advanced preferences > the 'more button' > reset preferences', closed josm. I then restarted josm again. (I typically use a jar file -

For testing; I downloaded a small area; created a 2 node line, untagged, ran the validator. It did not appear in the validator as I would expect.
