1. add mapnik background layer
2. click the layer's [[Help/Dialog/LayerList#VisibilityLayer|visibility options]] in the layer toolbox
3. move the mouse pointer over a slider

the slider moves up or down depending on scroll direction. This saves mouse clicks.

the visibility popup closes
