since I had to change to Java 1.7 I'm experiencing some quite annoying bugs on my Ubuntu PC, mostly regarding mouse interaction:
If I have one pane (e.g. Attributes or Selected Objects, or the relation manager) in detached mode in a separate window, I often can not click anything in this window. Instead, the click is recognized by the main window below, the separate window seems to be transparent to the mouse.
This did not happen with Java 1.6.

Very annoying work-around I found: right-click the main window to open a context menu, then click in the child window.
